We are looking for a Logistic Coordinator to strengthen MOCON Europe A/S’ Customer Service and Engagement team in Denmark. About the job
As our new Logistics Coordinator, reporting to the Manager of Customer Service & Engagement, you will get the opportunity to improve the current setup and structure while ensuring that we deliver on time and with the correct documentation. You will be responsible for driving the simplification and standardization of processes to enhance efficiency across our organization including daily bookings and transportation solutions to our other subsidiaries within EMEA.
You will be a part of a strong organization that is currently on a change journey to identify process improvements across EMEA organizations. The Customer Service & Engagement team in Denmark consists of four experienced colleagues but is undergoing an expansion process. As part of the team, you will support the transformation of our Customer Service in an international and intercultural workplace.
Responsibilities and tasks
Your responsibilities will be to ensure that we always comply with the requested delivery dates on our shipments and that documentations are always correct. You will be working directly with various logistic tasks, such as coordination and booking of transport, planning of inbounds shipment, and customs clearance & export declaration, etc.
Furthermore, we are looking for an engaged colleague, who wants to actively participate in improving our practices by challenging our ERP processes and contributing to ongoing optimization, but also through:
- Optimizing the logistics processes for both inbound and outbound flow
- Identifying new opportunities for savings on global freight & work across EMEA to optimize utilization
- Proactively flag issues and develop possible solutions
- Responsible for creating an EMEA shipping strategy and process (within year 1)
Experience and background
We are looking for an active and qualified participant to our team, and we imagine that your profile contains the following:
- An educational background in freight or shipping, preferably with 3-5 years of experience from a similar position
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and to establish own work schedule
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess situations and make sound decisions
Salary and supplements will be determined to match your skillset and experience.
The position is 37 hours a week at our matrix organization in Ringsted. Office hours are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
As part of an international company, you should expect a couple of travels a year.
