This is a unique opportunity for you to join our Project Sourcing team as a Project Sourcing Manager, being an important part of our NPD (New Product Development) projects. You will be responsible for selecting suppliers for our new analytical solutions, linking R&D with Production – navigating in a diverse mix of creative R&D engineers and process-oriented supply chain colleagues.

We are part of P&SC (Production & Supply Chain), responsible for obtaining cost efficiency and implementing LEAN sourcing solutions. P&SC aims to meet our customers’ needs for global analytic solutions by providing a scalable and competitive end-to-end supply chain.

Global Sourcing works with tactical and strategic sourcing for our high-end analytical solutions.

FOSS has a high mix & low volume production based on a wide selection of categories, e.g. mechanics, optics, electronics and chemistry. You will be one of five Project Sourcing Managers representing Global Sourcing in our NPD projects.

You’ll play an important part in our New Product Development Projects

NPD Projects are executed according to our business adapted Stage Gate Model. The project teams work closely together to refine and develop new analytic solutions from a wide range of different core technologies. Project Sourcing drive many value adding tasks in our project, among other things we secure early supplier involvement of carefully chosen suppliers, build a solid supply foundation and support a successful transition from NPD towards running production.

You will join the projects early in the concept design phase and actively contribute to the unity of project goals, technology and commercial aspects while being responsible for:

• sourcing and supplier selection in the development stages
• a transparent and optimized component cost
• documenting procurement/master data for new components in SAP
• developing our supplier platform in collaboration with relevant Category Managers
• maturing the supply chain for running production

Sourcing experienced and technically sound candidate

To successfully handle the above responsibilities, you may have:

• An engineering or other relevant technical background
• Sourcing/procurement experience
• High level of business acumen
• Experience working within NPD projects/Project Management
• SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel experience

In addition, you are a skilled communicator with excellent coordination skills, who thrives in a committed team. The job will benefit from you being structured, extrovert and proactive, as well as having the ability to manage many different types of stakeholders.
