10.00 – 10.15 – Opening remarks
The sustainability area is undergoing a significant change and requirements are
also increasing towards all industries and companies. A key question that has become even more relevant is how do we best leverage and ensure to turn all the sustainability requirements into concrete opportunities. Opportunities that before where difficult to or even off limits to address and who have significant impact on our competitive position.
By Chairman Peter-John Liberoth, Senior Partner, Implement Consulting Group
Peter-John is senior partner at Implement consulting having worked over 30 years within procurement and supply chain, procurement strategy and larger transformations. He has worked across several industries and has worked intensively with global companies on how best to work with and leverage sustainability.
10.15-10.45 – Sustainable procurement: from strategy to action
Sustainable procurement plays a central role in the effort to ensure that Denmark reaches the climate target of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
This is because approximately half of Denmark’s climate impact comes from our consumption of goods and services.
Therefore, private and public companies must work systematically to reduce the environmental impact from purchases and consumption.
How do you move from the strategies for greener and more sustainable consumption to concrete actions in procurement and supply?
