  • Define your challenges with Category Management and describe the business opportunity
  • Understand the Top 19 Category Management success factors by working through the FP Category Management operating model framework®. Assess how well you match up against these top 19 success factors
  • Define the target solution and what it might look like
  • Describe the solution - how you will reach the target, consider the options available and outline any assumptions made
  • Consider the cost-benefit analysis of your proposed approach including financial and non-financial benefits
  • Describe the barriers to success and the key enablers of success
  • Confirm your overall recommendation – elevator pitch!
