14.15 Big data and supply chain management: Status and potentials

This presentation gives an overview of how big data in supply chain management has been discussed in the literature including different conceptualizations of big data, what drives the usage of big data and which challenges that are reported with its planned and actual usage. Besides this more literature founded part, the presentation also presents and discusses the results of the most recent mini-survey by the Danish Supply Chain Panel that focuses the application of big data in a sourcing context.
